“Inception meeting for the project: Safeguarding Mesoamerican crop wild relatives”
The inception meeting took place in México City, Mexico, October 13-14, 2016.
Aim of the meeting: To discuss the planning, design, logistics, implementation, reporting and, legal and ethical compliance of the project.
Participants: 22 project collaborators from the University of Birmingham (UK), IUCN (UK), CONAREFIH (Honduras), CENTA (El Salvador), ICTA (Guatemala), CNRG (Mexico), CONABIO (Mexico) and SEMARNAT (Mexico) participated in the inception meeting.
During this meeting the project was presented to all collaborators and the planning of the different stages was discussed. The selection criteria to prioritize species for the project were defined.
